Kid Rock Designed a Silverado 3500HD

Kid Rock Designed a Silverado 3500HD

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – We’re seeing a lot of outrageously awesome looking vehicles at the SEMA show this year, but of course we expected that! Chevrolet brought its best work with some mind-blowing designs on the Silverado, Camaro, and the Corvette Stingray. This year Kid Rock Designed a Silverado 3500 and brought not only some American pride to the show, but some Michigan pride as well!

Kid Rock Designed a Silverado 3500 with the inspiration of his hit song “Born Free.” The truck celebrates freedom and honors the American workers who use this truck in their everyday jobs.

Rock, who’s actually Michigan-born, visited the Silverado plant in Flint, MI to find some inspiration for his masterpiece. Rock talked with members of the UAW Local 598 and shared some ideas with them. He wanted the truck to look bold, but still have features that a working class man could use.

With Kid Rock’s ideas the Chevrolet team built one powerful and patriotic looking vehicle that every working class man can dream of.

Here’s what it features on the outside:
· Black metallic flecked paint
· 22-inch custom wheels
· Tinted windows
· Chrome assist step
· Spray-in bedliner

And the inside:
· Sky Cool Gray leather seats
· Black carpeted floor liners
· Black-out instrument panel with silver trim
· Made in Detroit-logo sill plates & glovebox emblem
· Kicker sound system

Let’s not forget what it’s made of:
· Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel engine
· Allison 100 six-speed automatic transmission
· Digital Steering Assist
· 4WD Dual Configuration
· Integrated cruise control
· Diesel exhaust braking

Kid Rock absolutely loved his experience visiting the Silverado factory. He’s happy that the truck celebrates the working class of America and the freedom we have in this country.

Visit your Chevrolet dealer serving Isabella County to check out the 2016 Chevy Silverados. Gear up for winter with any auto service you need as well. We’ll get you all new tires and take care of your oil change.
