Cadillac has announced that the first new retail production 2016 Cadillac CT6 sold for $200,000 at a black tie event last Friday in Palm Beach, Fla. And all of the proceeds will benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

The auction of the first new CT6 goes to benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute, and General Motors has stated that all proceeds from the CT6 auction will support the expansion of Karmanos’ Intensive Care Unit and develop a 24-hour Acute Care Clinic to support the continuum of specialized care for Karmanos patients.

Thanks to huge advances in vehicle construction, the 2016 Cadillac CT6 brings a completely new approach to the luxury sedan class. The new model will come with three-power-dense engine options, all mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions that make for an insanely powerful sedan. GM Senior President of Global Public Policy Bob Ferguson stated; “General Motors has a long history of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. We are thrilled to continue that tradition by donating our time, funds, and assets to support the Karmanos Institute’s world renowned patient care and research.”

Cadillac CT6 Will Debut With A New V-6

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -  GM has released the news this past Friday that the new Cadillac CT6 will debut with a new V-6! This new V-6 engine includes a best-in-segment 400 HP 3-liter twin turbo engine V-6 that will debut with the brand’s new CT-6 sedan. The CT6, midsize CTS, and the compact ATS sedans will also be outfitted with the next generation of V-6 engines.

This exciting engine announcement is in coordination of the new CT6 rollout, which was featured during an Oscars ad back in February. The new Cadillac CT6 will debut with a new V-6 engine and General Motors is currently investing heavily into Cadillac’s image, attempting to bring more sophistication to the brand itself. These V-6 powertrains are apart of this massive $12 billion investment in GM’s luxury brand.

“A new premium engine with a new premium car is just what the luxury space needs,” states Stephanie Brinley, an auto analyst with HIS Automotive. “It is a smart move for Cadillac to offer a brand new engine in a car that promises premium content and technology.” However, the new powerfully impressive engine will have some affect on the sedan's fuel economy. Cadillac engineers did mention that fuel economy is not a customer priority in the luxury market, but now due to stricter federal fuel economy mandates, manufacturers are replacing V-8 engines with turbo V-6s as a premium engine option.

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – If you were watching the 87th Annual Academy Awards Sunday night, one commercial in particular may have caught your attention. Cadillac debuted a brand new commercial, “Daring: No Regrets,” featuring a series of innovators and trailblazers including the new flagship 2016 Cadillac CT6 which was shown in the daring new ad!

This new commercial highlighting the 2015 CT6 flagship perfectly embodies the “premium lifestyle” brand that Cadillac is synonymous with. Cadillac Confirms New CT6/CT8/CT9, SUVs, and Electric Vehicles

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Cadillac's new boss-man, Johan de Nysschen, hasn't been on the job long but he is already making huge plans for the brand. Over the past week or so, the luxury brand has been making headlines daily with new changes that are set to be implemented over the next decade. From a completely new vehicle naming structure, a run of new products, and a refresh to the brand's electric game, it's going to be an intense few years for the brand because Cadillac confirmed New CT6/CT8/CT9 models, SUVs, and Electric Vehicles!

First to make headlines was the announcement of a new flagship CT6 sedan, which will be the first to take on the new naming structure. But the automaker isn't wasting any time because Cadillac just confirmed new CT8/CT9 models, SUVs, and Electric Vehicles too; all for debut by 2020! While the name hasn't yet been finalized as CT8 or CT9, Cadillac just signed off on another flagship model that will be positioned above the CT6 but will offer a large, long-wheelbase to compete with other large luxury sedans.
