Chevrolet Takes Center Field at Comerica Park

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- The Detroit Tiger's 2019 season kicks off with the installation of two all-new vehicles atop the center field fountain at Comerica Park, a Motor City tradition now in its 10th year. This year's showpieces? The red 2019 Chevy Blazer RS and a silver 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss. 

These vehicles enhance the ballpark's skyline view and complement the majestic "Chevy Fountain" that graces centerfield at Comerica Park. With more than 8,400 pounds of sheet metal hoisted into position by a crane, the vehicles remind fans in the stadium and at home of Chevy's historic relationship with American baseball and it's deep roots within Detroit. 

Paul Edwards, the U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing celebrated this year's installment saying: 

"This decade-old tradition allows us to celebrate Chevy's connection to baseball in our hometown, and it's a telltale sign that Opening Day is almost here...the all-new Blazer and Silverado represent innovation, endurance and personality - much like our great city of Detroit" 

The attention-grabbing Blazer and the rugged Silverado showcase the quality, dependability and reliability needed to withstand the six-month baseball season, and with their bird's eye view, these heavy-hitting vehicles will cheer on the Detroit Tigers at every home game. 

Chris Granger, Group President of Sports and Entertainment for Ilitch Holdings, Inc also released a statement regarding this time-honored tradition, saying: 

"Chevrolet and the Detroit Tigers are two of the Motor City's most iconic brands, and we're honored to be celebrating the 10-year mark of this great tradition...Chevy continues to be a great partner, not only to the Tigers, but with the entire Major League Baseball family as well." 

This is evidenced by Chevy's involvement with the sport on so many levels. Their connection to baseball extends from the backyard to the major leagues as the Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball and the Official Automotive Sponsor of the PLAY BALL initiative. Through Chevy Cares programs like Chevy Youth Baseball, kids are empowered to stay active, build self-esteem and learn teamwork-skills that can help them on and off the field. 

Since the Chevy Youth Baseball program launched in 2006, more than 8 million kids have participated in nearly 2,000 free clinics with participation from current and former players and coaches. More than 1,300 Chevy dealers across the U.S. have donated nearly 163,000 equipment kits and jerseys to encourage the next generation of baseball players.

New Chevrolet Campaign Features...LEGO!

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- Chevrolet just dropped an all-new campaign series, consisting of television, social media, and movie theatre ads today featuring a LEGO brick replica of the 2019 Silverado 1500 High Country and characters from the new big-screen, animated feature "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part." which hits theatres on Feb. 8

In the ads, Emmet and Lucy escape a mysterious alien invader in a Satin Steel Metallic Silverado 1500 High Country made of LEGO bricks. Want to see more than shown in the ad? Head to your local movie theatre on February 8th for this fun and action-packed sequel, where Emmet, Lucy, and their friends reunite to save their beloved city from a new threat and journey to unexplored new worlds.

Paul Edwards U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing explained the project this way: 

"From Emmet's custom High Country to the real-life Trail Boss that inspired the full-size LEGO brick model, we have a Silverado for everyone - both LEGO mini-figures and everyday drivers...the new ads are a fun addition to our Silverado campaign and will hopefully attract the next generation of truck buyers to Chevrolet." 

Emmet, Lucy, and the custom LEGO mini-build High Country are featured in similar social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Unique to Instagram stories, fans can build their own LEGO Chevy Silverado one brick at a time, with a tap-to-assemble opportunity with the film's characters. The 30-second version of the ad will also run in Spanish target markets.

Corvette Champions Special Edition Series

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- Chevrolet has announced the 2019 Corvette Drivers Series special edition Grand Sport models designed in collaboration with the Corvette Racing team. Just like the drivers they represent, each model is a winner, with unique exterior color and graphics packages that are designed to control the road, and turn heads at the same time.

Steve Majoros, director of Chevrolet passenger car and crossover marketing had this to say about 2019's Corvette Drivers Series: 

"...they celebrate Corvette Racing's winning legacy, which is driven by a world-class team of drivers from around the globe...each driver worked with Chevrolet designers on the graphics for their respective edition, giving the cars distinctly personalized appearances.". 

Offered on Grand Sport 1LT, 2LT and 3LT trims, the color and graphics packages for the vehicles include: 

• Tommy Milner Edition: Elkhart Lake Blue exterior with silver stripes and red hash marks, body-color mirrors, black wheels with red stripe and red brake calipers. Jet Black Suede interior with red seat belts. 

• Oliver Gavin Edition: Shadow Gray exterior with Torch Red center stripe and Torch Red hash marks, Carbon Flash mirrors, black wheels with red stripe, and red brake calipers. Adrenaline Red interior with red seat belts.

• Jan Magnussen Edition: Arctic White exterior with Crystal Red stripes and gray hash marks, body-color mirrors, black wheels with red stripe and red brake calipers. Jet Black interior with red seat belts; red stitching on 3LT trim.

• Antonio Garcia Edition: Racing yellow exterior with "Jake" stinger stripe, red hash marks, Carbon Flash mirrors, black wheels with red stripe and red brake calipers. Jet Black interior, yellow stitching on 3LT trim. 

Each edition receives a driver-specific interior plaque and other unique trim details, in addition, all models with the 3LT trim include carbon fiber interior trim. Similar to the Corvette Racing C7.R race cars, the Grand Sport-Based Drivers Series models feature a naturally aspirated V-8 engine. The 6.2L LT1 engine is rated at 160 horsepower and also like the race cars features a dry-sump oiling system designed to support high-performance track driving.

Round Two of Chevrolet and LEGO

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- In 2017, a partnership between Warner Bros. and Chevrolet was forged to bring the LEGO Batmobile from Chevy to life. At the opening of the North American Auto Show, these brands released a new partnership: an exact, life-size replica of the all-new, 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, which will eventually make an appearance in mini-build form in the Lego Movie sequel, coming to theatres on February 8th. 

The life-size project was built by eighteen specially-trained LEGO master builders. Hand-selecting and placing each of the 334, 544 blocks took over 2,000 hours, but all that sweat and time was worth it. The finished model features such realistic details as working lights and graphic design features straight off the real-life Silverado. Full LEGO Silverado specs are listed below.

• The model is 72 inches high, 240 inches long, and 96 inches wide
• It weighs 3, 307 pounds
• The most common brick used was the 2x8 stud brick
• It was designed and assembled in the LEGO Group's model shop in Enfield, Connecticut

Chevrolet is thrilled about this fun collaboration, with Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet truck marketing stating:

Chevrolet Reveals the 2020 Silverado HD High Country

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- Chevrolet is getting up in your grille! Every Silverado HD in the 2020 series will feature distinct exterior details including grilles featuring either the Chevrolet stamped bar or the iconic Chevrolet bowtie. This week, the corporation gave us a sneak peek into their 2020 truck franchise, and they're beastlier than ever! 

Truck customers are very clear: They want the perfect truck for them and not a 'one size fits most' truck compromised for the masses" said Mike Simcoe, the vice president of global design for General Motors. Chevrolet is listening to this sentiment, hence an expanded range of customer choices for trim levels on the all-new Silverado HD: Work Truck, Custom, LT, LTZ, and the range-topping High Country. These distinct exteriors provide a greater differentiation between the 1500 and HD models, and give customers the ability to personalize their truck. 

The photograph above displays the new High Country exterior which boasts two-tone metallic trim, a redesigned grille, the Chevrolet bowtie, in addition to all-new features and technology. This model and the others in the new Silverado franchise take into account "every detail of what customers expect, and how they will use their truck" Simcoe said. "The results are unique versions of the Silverado HD equally at home, working on a construction site, or pulling a camping trailer.". 

The 2020 Silverado HD is set to go on sale in mid-2019. Stay tuned for more details - including images of Work Truck, Custom and LTZ - closer to launch.

Chevrolet Powering Fernando Alonso in 2019 Indy 500

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- Two time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso is competing in the 2019 Indianapolis 500 in a McLaren Racing entry powered by the beastly Chevrolet 2.2-liter twin-turbocharged, direct-injected V6 IndyCar engine. Chevrolet and McLaren have a storied past together in the IndyCar series competition and staff and fans alike are excited to see these two partnered once again, Zak Brown the chief executive of McLaren racing said "Like McLaren, Chevrolet has racing in its heart. The company's reputation in IndyCar and at this special race is first-class and we will be powerful partners."

 Alonso, while a controversial public figure, has quite the list of achievements under his belt, he won F1 championships in 2005 and 2006, and is in 6th place of all time in the series with 32 victories and 97 podium finishes. Earlier this year he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, making him one of only 13 drivers to win two legs of the Triple Crown of Motorsports (Monaco, 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Indianapolis 500). If he claims victory in the 2019 Indy 500, he'll become the second driver in history to complete the treasured triumvirate. 

Jim Campbell, Chevrolet U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports endorsed the Fernando/Chevrolet team-up by saying "It's exciting to partner with Fernando Alonso...he brings incredible driving talent and a passion for the sport. When Fernando is on the track, it's electric. He generates excitement among fans everywhere". 

The 2019 Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday May 26, 2019 with practice beginning on Tuesday, May 14. Tickets are on sale now at IMS.com and the IMS ticket office.

Coach Receives First Chevy Cares Award at 2018 World Series

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- The official vehicle of Major League baseball and the automotive sponsor of America's PLAY BALL initiative, Chevrolet has been encouraging communities to rally at the ball game since 2006. Last week, the Chevy Youth Baseball program presented their inaugural Chevy Cares award during a special, on-field ceremony at the World Series. 

The award was initiated by Chevrolet to shine a spotlight on those who dedicate their lives to train and invest in youth baseball programs in their hometown. This year's recipient, Mike Van Cleave, who was nominated by his local Chevy dealership, has dedicated over 45 years of mentorship to the young athletes of San Diego. At the age of 8, he joined the Clairemont Hilltoppers, and throughout the years has served as their coach, umpire, and board member. Today, his responsibilities for the team include uniforms and equipment, field maintenance, scheduling, and fundraising. 

Paul Edwards, U.S. Vice President of Chevrolet Marketing said "Mike goes above and beyond in his selfless dedication to youth baseball and the children on his team and in his community - His commitment and values are the same that drive all of us at Chevrolet every day to put our customers first and contribute in a meaningful way to the communities where we live and work."

An Indie Top Five That You'll Totally Fall For

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- Fall is such a magical season, a cool interlude, between the sweltering summer and harsh Michigan winter. Innately nostalgic, it haunts us with wonder, engenders the desire for simple comforts, and inspires deep reflection. Nietzsche called it "The season of the soul". At Graff Mt. Pleasant we believe every season and occasion deserves a bomb playlist, so we've gathered a few haunting indie ballads that embody the melancholy energy of the fall. Whether you're chilling by a bonfire or taking a scenic drive, these tracks are sure to set the perfect Autumn mood.

1. SEASONS - FUTURE ISLANDS

Known for their "knotty, poetic lines" Future Islands is one of the lucky few to catapult to the top tier of Indie music. This song is revered as one of their most successful by fans and critics alike for its deep, heart-wrenching vocals, plinky synth lines, and universal lyrics. It's a track about a man with his heart on the line, and cutting your losses and moving on. What could be more fall? The release of one season, the waiting for another to begin. 

2. CINDER AND SMOKE - IRON AND WINE

Iron and Wine is another of the Indie scene's great success stories, with their songs appearing in countless films, TV shows and commercials. Classic and warm, their tracks are full of restrained imagery and offer a bitter, yet longing, perspective on memory, love, and nostalgia. "Cinder and Smoke" describes a conflict between a desire for the way life used to be, and the strange freedom that accompanies loss. With a soft, haunting melody and beautiful lyricism this is a folky track that's the perfect accompaniment to a scenic, Autumn stroll. 

3. ANOTHER STORY - HEAD AND THE HEART

Unlike their Indie contemporaries, Head and the Heart have released a solid folk and Americana  portfolio over the years while receiving much less than their deserved praise in return. "Another Story" was a cathartic project for Head and the Heart as they struggled to come to terms with the events of the Newtown shootings. Melodically stunning, this bitter and brutally honest musing over the unchanging nature of the world is surprisingly up-lifting. 

4. EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER IN HINDSIGHT - THE WILD REEDS

This virtually unknown trio pumps out some of the most decadent, perfectly-synced harmonies we've ever heard. It's dessert for your ears...seriously. With rare songwriting, comprised of gut-wrenching lyrics, and soft, tinkling melody, their albums are a painfully gorgeous example of the raw talent that exists outside the mainstream music scene. "Everything Looks Better in Hindsight"  is more than just an artsy breakup song, it's a study in the effects of loss, and a careful inquiry into the fragility of memory. This haunting tune is sure to become one of your favorites, it's the perfect accompaniment to a crisp Autumn morning, or a solid choice for your bonfire playlist. 

5. LAUNDRY ROOM - THE AVETT BROTHERS

One of the most well-known and widely appreciated bands in the folk scene, The Avett Brothers have played just about every major music festival, and have a portfolio that includes 12 albums in addition to hundreds of covers. "Laundry Room" contains all the components for an essential Avett Brothers track: stellar lyricism, gorgeous harmonies and a totally kicking, bluegrass breakdown. A time machine back to the enthralling moments of our first love, the verses take us through snapshots of some of the most universally relateable memories: rebelling against our parents to be with someone we loved, and obsessing over the object of our affections. A song with a deep, meditative intro and a jam-worthy conclusion, this is the perfect barn party track.

Who Do You Drive For? Chevy Joins The Fight Against Breast Cancer

In hopes of raising 400,000 for the American Cancer Society, Chevrolet has promised a $5 donation for every post that contains the #IDriveFor hashtag on Twitter and Instagram until their goal is reached. The hashtag has already gained huge momentum in social media trends, with hundreds of posts featuring survivor stories, photos of loved ones who lost the battle with cancer, and PINK EVERYTHING. Join Chevy in making strides in the fight to end breast cancer everywhere by sharing your story, post a picture, and tell us who you drive for.

Employees of Chevy and brands underneath their banner are joining in the campaign as well. With walks scheduled to occur throughout the month of October in most major cities. Detroit will wave it's pink flag on October 13th this year at Hart Plaza, near the GM Renaissance Center. A celebration for survivors and caregivers, live music and speeches have been scheduled, along with a rolling start walk, and various activity areas. Chevrolet will also donate $350 dollars for each caution lap completed by the Team Chevy-commissioned pink Chevrolet Camaro SS pace car at the Monster Energy NASCAR cup series races.

5 Awesome Halloween Traditions From Around The World

MT. PLEASANT, Mich -- It's Halloween season! There's a special, static energy in the air this time of year that gets us all in the fall spirit. Pumpkin flavored lattes, plaid scarves, spooky movies, trick or treating, we all have our favorite way to celebrate the season. While most cultures don't celebrate Halloween in the fashion we do in America, there are so some pretty awesome fall traditions that take place around the world and we here at Graff Mt. Pleasant have compiled a list of our favorites. Happy Halloween!

1. DIA DE LOS MUERTES - MEXICO

A Mexican festival dedicated to honoring the dead and celebrating life, Dia de los Muertos is observed on the 1st and 2nd of November each year. It is believed that the night of October 31st, the gates of heaven open, allowing the souls of the deceased to return to their families for one day. This momentous event is celebrated with a parade, in-home altars decorated with food and trinkets for the visiting ancestors, the planting of marigolds, grave decoration, graveside vigils and of course the consumption of traditional treats! The inspiration for the work of numerous artists and musicians, this holiday of skulls and color is a testament to Mexican culture's grand aesthetics and respect for the deceased.

2. KAWASAKI HALLOWEEN PARADE - JAPAN 

One of Tokyo's largest yearly events, the Kawasaki parade has been observed for the last 21 years and draws nearly 4,000 costume enthusiasts each year. Anyone can register to join in the parade, although fees and guidelines are strictly enforced. The festivities continue for two whole weeks after the event with costume contests, dance parties, a special children's parade, pumpkin carving and more! 

3. PCHUM BEN - CAMBODIA

Pchum Ben is a 15 day long religious festival in Cambodia that takes place in late September and early October. The first 14 days bear resemblance to the observance of Lent, but on the last day of the festival, it is believed that the gates to the underworld open, causing supposed spikes in spirit activity. During this time Cambodians visit at least three pagodas (temples), pay their respects to their deceased relatives, leave offerings, and feast. It's also considered an important spiritual time for monks, and they spend the majority of their time during the festival chanting and fasting.

4. DAY OF DRACULA - ROMANIA

Tourists from all over the world gather at Bran Castle, otherwise known as Dracula's castle on the night of Halloween for tours and extravagant parties. Although there is no evidence to suggest that this fortress actually belonged to Vlad the Impaler, that doesn't dampen the festivities. Complete with a traditional 3-course Romanian dinner, themed costume dance, horror movie screening, and souvenirs, this event is a Transylvanian Halloween. In keeping with dark Romanian wit, they offer the entire package for free if you are over 200 years old, have no reflection, and decompose when the light strikes you. 

5. OGNISSANTI - ITALY

Celebrated around the world on November 1st, known in Italy as Ognissanti, it is a feast dedicated to Catholic saints and departed ancestors. Festivities include mass held in cemeteries, decorating graves with chrysanthemums, and the burning of red candles. Not unlike other Italian holidays, food plays a major role in the celebration of Ognissanti, traditional stews and sweet breads are consumed, along with the favorite foods of departed family members.

Chevy Introduces the Colorado ZR2 Bison to Its Mid-Sized Lineup

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- Chevrolet adds the Colorado ZR2 Bison to their lineup of midsized pickup trucks, designed with high off-road performance in mind. The Bison is the product of Chevy's first collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), a premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer.

In less than four years, Chevrolet has gained more than a quarter of the market's midsized pick-up truck sales as a result of its commitment to continued innovation. In that time, Colorado has introduced several segment firsts including an all-new V-6 gas engine /eight-speed transmission combo, diesel engine, the ZR2 "segment of one" off-roader, and now the Bison.

In order to protect sensitive undercarriage components when driving over rocky, jagged terrain, the Colorado ZR2 Bison features five skid plates designed by AEV covering the engine oil pan, fuel tank, transfer case, and front/rear locking differentials; which are constructed of hard, durable hot-stamped Boron steel.

Additionally, AEV also designed the stamped steel front and rear bumpers for further protection to the truck, featuring winch provisions and standard fog lights with recovery points integrated into the rear bumper.

“More and more enthusiasts are discovering that Colorado is ideal for off-roading, especially overland travel,” says Sandor Piszar, director of Marketing, Chevrolet Truck.

“The Colorado Z71 offers a full suite of off-road equipment, the maneuverability of a midsize truck and the driving range of a class-exclusive diesel engine. The Colorado ZR2 offers even greater off-road capability with class-exclusive front and rear locking differentials and Multimatic DSSV dampers. And now, Bison offers customers an even more extreme turnkey off-road truck ready to tackle your next adventure.”

A unique departure from the classic Chevy design, the Bison ditches the traditional "bowtie" emblem in favor of an exclusive flow-through "CHEVROLET" lettered grille on its front end. On top of that, a set of 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires sit beneath larger fender flares than previously and wrap 17x8-inch aluminum wheels made specifically for the Bison ZR2.

“We’ve been following Colorado since its introduction, and the ZR2 really captured our attention,” says Dave Harriton, founder, and president of AEV. “As this is the first Chevrolet vehicle we’ve given the AEV treatment to, we wanted to do something special with the industry’s first use of hot-stamped Boron steel. We also expect that Colorado drivers will love the added ruggedness of our front and rear bumpers on ZR2 Bison.”

Everything you know and love about the standard Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 also comes equipped on the Bison, including but not limited to:

• Class-exclusive front and rear locking electronic differentials
• Revolutionary, segment-exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers

Chevrolet Launches "Vocal" App that Aims to Curb Distracted Driving

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- Part of the initiative to promote safer and less distracted driving, Chevrolet is launching a new app called "Call Me Out" to help remind new and experienced drivers alike to put their phones down and keep their eyes on the road.

According to a recent surveyed performed by Research Now, 84% of people admit that driving while handling a phone is dangerous, and yet 90% of drivers say that they do it. Driven to encourage a change and the behavior and conversation, Chevy hosted a hackathon during which they challenged teams of young people to propose ways to combat distracted driving, and from that, the framework of Call Me Out was conceived.

The new app combines two powerful and influential forces: technology and our loved ones. Friends and family members of users have the ability to record a message through the app that will activate when the user tries to use their phone while driving, effectively "calling them out" and making them think twice about the potentially deadly consequences of taking their eyes off the road.

“As the father of two daughters, I am keenly aware of all the perils that my children face out in the world on a daily basis, and that is why it is so important for GM and Chevrolet to offer technologies that help all of us become safer drivers,” says Alan Batey, president of GM North America and head of Global Chevrolet. “With Call Me Out we are extending our commitment beyond the technologies integrated into GM and Chevy vehicles and are making the app available for Android phone users who drive other vehicle makes and models in an effort to help people change their driving behavior and make our roads safer.”

HOW IT WORKS

• Call Me Out uses the voices of the driver's loved ones to help them fight the urge to engage in risky distracted driving as if they were physically in the vehicle.

• Currently, the app is only available to Android phone users who can download it for free in the Google Play store.

• The app utilizes the vehicle's accelerometer and GPS to detect when the driver physically picks up their phone while traveling at speeds of more than 5 MPH, at which point it plays recorded, personalized messages from friends and family that remind them to put their phone down and concentrate on the road.

• The app also adds a little competition to help encourage drivers to stay safe on the road, featuring a scoreboard and rankings, and keeping score of how much the user handles their phone. The less they do, the higher their score and rank on the leaderboard.

“Today’s vehicles offer a range of active safety features like Lane Keep Assist and Forward Automatic Braking that help drivers stay more aware of their surroundings,” says Tricia Morrow, Chevy safety engineer. 

“But we also know the vehicle is only one element. Chevy’s Call Me Out app gives drivers another great tool to reinforce good driving behaviors — and as a mom of a teenage daughter, I personally know how important it is to model good driving behaviors and encourage others to do the same.”

Drivers must be 18 years or older and have a compatible device and data plan to use Call Me Out.

The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado is Getting Two New Colors

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- On top of numerous technology, connectivity, and safety upgrades, the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado is slated to be available in two new, awesome colors: Crush and Shadow Gray Metallic.

CRUSH

The bright orange "Crush" exterior color makes is arguably the most exciting of the two, and makes the 2019 Colorado look incredibly rad. It's available as a $395 upgrade in conjunction with both interior options (jet black and jet black with dark ash accents).

SHADOW GRAY METALLIC

The smoldering Shadow Gray Metallic adds a level of class to the mid-sized pick-up and does not have an upgrade fee, which means that it's included in the price of whatever 2019 Colorado you choose. Additionally, you can get it with either of the interior options.

By Popular Demand, Chevy Introduces the 2019 Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus Special Editions

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- Chevrolet is expanding the availability of the 6.2L V-8 engine in its 2019 line-up of full-size SUVs with the introduction of the Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus special editions.

The 6.2L V-8 was originally available on the 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2L Performance Package. It also recently debuted on the 2019 Suburban RST 6.2L Performance Package and is now available at Chevrolet dealerships nationwide.

“Our customers have shown strong demand for both Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2L V-8 option,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Trucks Marketing and Advertising. “Thirty-six percent of all Chevy full-size SUV special edition models are now sold with this engine. Premier Plus gives both Suburban and Tahoe customers another option to choose from with several added premium touches.”

All Premier Plus vehicles, including the Premier RST with the optional 6.2L Performance Package, feature Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration along with a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission. An active suspension system that "reads" the road every millisecond,  Magnetic Ride Control triggers dampening changes in the electronically controlled shock absorbers in 10-15 milliseconds. This results in improved body-motion control while cornering and an overall more comfortable cruising experience.

As for the 10-speed automatic transmission, drivers will enjoy smaller steps between each ratio to maximize engine power under acceleration. This is accomplished by using a wide 7.39 overall gear ratio spread and lower top gear ratio, which allows for the reduction of engine revolutions at highway speeds.

Other features include a unique interior with heated and ventilated black/mahogany, leather-appointed seats against a surrounding jet black trim. Along with 22-inch polished wheels, this premium two-tone interior makes its line-up debut on the 2019 Premier Plus special editions.

Other appearance features include gold "bowtie" emblems, chrome nameplate badging, a head-up display and 8-inch diagonal cluster, cross rails, chrome power steps and exhaust tip, and Chevrolet-branded cargo organizer.

In terms of connectivity, the 2019 Premier Plus special editions include a 12-month data plan of a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot.

The 6.2L V-8 engine now available on the 2019 Premier Plus special edition Tahoe and Suburban is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft. of torque. It also delivers three state-of-the-art technologies including direct injection, Active Fuel Management, and continuously variable valve timing in order for drivers to get the most out of power, torque, and efficiency across a broad range of operating conditions.
