Sponsoring Families Through The United Way at Graff Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Here at Graff Mt. Pleasant we are so thankful for the incredible support that our community provides all year long, and as the holidays near it becomes even more important for us to show our appreciation and give back in every way we can! This year we are proud to be sponsoring multiple families through the United Way, and we thought, what better way to bring the community together than by inviting our friends and neighbors to participate as well!

This season, Graff Mt. Pleasant is sponsoring families through the United Way and we want to invite you to make a difference in the lives of those in need too! Each family has provided us with a list of items they are requesting this holiday season. We have gone out and purchased the larger items, but for the smaller items we have set up a Giving Tree in our showroom and are asking you to show your support for these local families if you can. All you have to do is come in and pick a gift tag off of the Giving Tree, purchase the item, and then return the item to the Giving Tree before Wednesday, December 3rd so that we have time to get everything to the families before the holidays are here!

National Lymphoma Month at Graff Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Did you know that every 7 minutes someone is diagnosed with lymphoma? Not to mention, there are more than 700,000 Americans currently living with, or are in remission from, lymphoma. Which is why September has been declared National Lymphoma Month, and Graff Mt. Pleasant is proud to join the fight against this disease!

On October 4th, Graff Mt. Pleasant will be participating in our local Light The Night Walk to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. HOWEVER, leading up until the walk we are striving to raise awareness and funds to make a difference in the lives of those affected by lymphoma! Those who donate in store will receive a free lime green bracelet to show their support. Plus, we also have lime green t-shirts for sale, of which 100% of the donation will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at Graff Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – Graff Mt. Pleasant was nominated for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and our very own Jim has accepted the challenge, nominating Nick Williams in the Athletic Office, Keith Raymond at our Buick GMC Cadillac store, and CMU Football Coach, Kyle Nystrom! Consider yourself challenged!

We bet you've been seeing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge videos all over your social networks. While it may seem crazy that perfectly sane people are dumping ice water on their heads, as of August 26, 2014, the challenge has raised over $88.5 million to support the ALS Association's mission to fight the progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord! To put that into perspective, during the same time last year, donations totaled $2.6 million. BRAVO to everyone who has completed the challenge and donated!
