Chevy Named J.D. Power's Most Awarded Brand

MT. PLEASANT, Mich.,–– The J.D. Power Automotive Summit, held in Las Vegas, had some exciting news to share on the morning of March 22nd. Through an extensive amount of vehicle awards, Chevy was named J.D. Power's most awarded brand of 2017. This achievement is a token to the car company's success in all categories across the board.

Six different Chevrolet cars, trucks, and SUVs won a total of nine awards in J.D. Power's 2017 Vehicle Dependability, Initial Quality, and APEAL Studies. Taking home nine awards in just one year demonstrates Chevy's tremendous efforts to continuously develop reliable, safe, and advanced vehicles.

"These awards highlight the automotive brands that are continually exceeding customer expectations and leading the way in terms of dependability, quality and overall customer satisfaction." - J.D. Power

On top of these many achievements, Chevrolet was also recognized in two other major studies: the 2018 J.D. Power Customer Service Index and the 2017 Sales Satisfaction Index Study. The 2018 J.D. Power Customer Service Index measures customer satisfaction with maintenance or repair work among owners and lessees of 1- to 3-year-old vehicles. These surveys gather feedback from 28,000 to more than 70,000 customers.

Chevrolet's momentum going forward is at an all-time high. The company has a relentless drive and determination to improve the ins and outs of vehicle ownership. This has made the brand GM's most powerful growth engine. Through extensive studies that have led to several vehicle accolades, Chevy was named J.D. Power's most awarded brand of 2017. Will General Motors Create A Camaro Hybrid Option?

Will General Motors Create A Camaro Hybrid Option?

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - 2015 has definitely been the year of the sixth-generation Camaro — sorry Mustang — and now the rumors are starting to drift: will General Motors create a Camaro hybrid option? Many automotive insiders believe that this would be a very smart move for GM, but recently the engineering team at LSXtv stated that the hybrid Camaro might not be an option for a long time.

Now, could there be a day when a hybrid Camaro graces showroom floors? Yes. However don't hold your breath. Chevrolet and GM claim that Camaro as THE premier sports car, and a hybrid option just goes against the Camaro brand's identity.

The technology needed to implement a Hybrid system into a sports car like the Camaro is extremely difficult to produce, and would be an entry into an unknown realm of performance for Chevy. If hybridization does indeed occur in a GM sports car, we believe it would happen initially with the Corvette before the Camaro. Like it or not, the Camaro is indeed a true colloquial vehicle and a leap into the the hybrid territory would just be way too expensive for the immediate time period.

So, will General Motors create a Camaro hybrid option? Maybe, but as previously stated, don't hold your breath. Even though a Camaro hybrid does not make sense for the current market, we have TONS of exciting new and used models here at Graff Mt. Pleasant. Visit us at your Graff Mt. GM Set To Reveal The New Sixth-Generation Camaro This Saturday

GM Set To Reveal The New Sixth-Generation Camaro This Saturday

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. - Much to the enthusiasm of the automotive world, GM is set to reveal the new sixth-generation Camaro this Saturday. The new 2016 Camaro is Chevy's answer to the 50th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. In a back and forth war that has been going on since the beginning of the year, these three vehicles dominate the muscle car class, as they should.

The 2016 Camaro unveiling was opened up to the first 1000 individuals who registered via the #CAMAROSIX website, and all 1000 spots filled up in a little over 8 hours. Chevy spokesperson Monte Doran said, "We were very surprised. We thought it would take a few days or weeks to fill the available spots, so the response far exceeded our expectations!" Due to Chevy using already existing infrastructure for the Belle Isle Grand Prix, the auto company had to limit the reveal event to 1000 people.

But those lucky 1,000 fans will be in muscle car nirvana. In addition to the main event, those present will also be able to ride along on hot laps of the race course in the 2015 Camaro Z/28 models and take a parade lap in their own Camaros. Chevrolet is, smartly, veering away from the conventional approach to unveiling a new vehicle, which is usually done so at the traditional auto shows. An large treat for Camaro fans attending the event this weekend will also be the Camaro Museum on site, with over 20 cars ranging from the oldest production Camaro in existence, the 1967 Camaro VIN 16, or the original 2006 Camaro concept that preceded the fifth-gen model (the "Bumblebee" Camaro).

GM is set to reveal the new sixth-generation Camaro this Saturday. The 2016 Camaro will roll into dealerships this fall after a cross-country promo tour that will take it to the MLB All-Star Game in Cincinatti to "Camaro Fest" in Kentucky, and even back to Michigan for the Woodward Dream Cruise before making its final curtain call at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We are so excited, and CANNOT WAIT to see this amazing car!
