30 Things to be Thankful for

MT. PLEASANT, Mich., –– As Thanksgiving draws near we encourage you to take some time think about all the things you appreciate in your life. If you need some inspiration, we've come up with a list of 30 things to be thankful for. Feel free to use them as your own!

1. Good health - Not to be taken for granted.

2. Family - You love them no matter what, and they do too.

3. Friends - Could you really make it without them?

4. Shelter & safety - It's a crazy world out there, but many of us are lucky enough to have a roof over our heads and be safe. 

5. Pets - Fuzzy, cuddly friends!

6. Pumpkin pie, stuffing, and all the other Thanksgiving dinner favorites - *Mouth begins to water*

7. Leftovers - Arguably better than the original meal. 

9. Wool socks - If you're lucky, you'll probably be getting another pair for Christmas from Mom.

9. Leftover candy from Halloween - If it's not stale yet.

10. Netflix - Better than air.

11. Books - They're like Netflix, but on paper!

12. Chocolate - Best consumed with #14

13. Sunsets - Fall sunsets give summer ones a run for their money.

14. Peanut butter - Best consumed with #12

General Motors Has Stepped Up Their Game

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – For many years, no American car company has had a tight grip on the reliable, and hugely popular, family sedan car segment.  Japanese automakers such as Toyota and Honda, offered safe, comfortable cars at low prices, and had reliability records that competitors couldn't match. General Motors however, has brought an impressive, new player to the field.

The Camry and the Accord have some stiff competition, because their competitors' reliability ratings have improved greatly, everyone is raising their games. Believe it or not, General Motors has stepped up their game and now offers the new-for-2016 Chevy Malibu, which ultimately raises the bar for the entire segment, and make America's top selling class of cars even better!

We have blogged about the 2016 Malibu in the past, and the new model is causing quite a lot of excitement ever since it was previewed at this year's New York Auto Show. A few years ago, Ford Motor Company released the newly updated Ford Fusion, which impacted the family sedan class in a large way. Unlike the Camry or the Accord, the Fusion featured a striking, dramatic styling and an updated interior the felt more sophisticated than the Japanese models. This put the Malibu behind, and GM was focused on bringing itself to the top of the family-sedan class.

Since the release of the Ford Fusion, General Motors has stepped up their game, and the release of the 2016 Malibu will forever change the entire auto-industry. The all-new Chevy Malibu will arrive to dealers this fall, and GM hopes that its profits and sales will rise as a result, which will definitely happen. Due to all of this immense competition going on in the popular midsize-segment, the car-shoppers will be the real winners at the end of the day!

The 2016 Chevy Malibu Will Be The Safest Car For Teen Drivers

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. – Earlier this week, we wrote a blog about the excitement surrounding the new 2016 Chevy Malibu. In a statement released this morning by General Motors Co., the company said it plans on debuting a new Teen Driver system on the redesigned 2016 Chevy Malibu. The system mutes the radio when front passengers haven’t buckled up and also give parents a report card on their teen’s driving habits. The 2016 Chevy Malibu will be the safest car for teen drivers with this new technology!

GM safety engineer states; “We developed this system so parents could use it as a teaching tool with their kids – they can discuss and reinforce safe driving habits.” GM has called its system the first in the automotive industry that can let parents view, on the car’s display, how their teen has been driving the vehicle. Teen Driver tells parents how many miles the car was driven on the previous trip, the top speed reached, the amount of speed warnings, stability control events, as well as anti-lock break events. The 2016 Chevy Malibu will be the SAFEST car for teen drivers, and if the vehicle is equipped with the technology, Teen Driver will also tell if the car had any forward collision alerts and forward collision braking events.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), in the United States, 16-19 year olds have a fatal crash rate per mile that is 3x higher than the rate of drivers age 20+. The 2016 Malibu will debut in early April at the New York International Auto Show, and the vehicle is expected to go on sale at the end of 2015.

The New 2016 Malibu Wants To Be The Most Dependable Car On The Road

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – In 2008, GM launched the redesigned Malibu, a car that would go on to win the heavily desired North American Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation model was a major win for Chevrolet, and then GM vice chairman Bob Lutz. Now, the new 2016 Malibu wants to be the most dependable car on the road…anywhere!

Although currents models since the ’08 redesign have earned great marks from JD Power, sales have decreased, aided by a disappointing “refresh” last year that was below impactful. Chevy, however, wants to change that up and the new 2016 Malibu wants to be the most dependable car on the road! Next month at the 2015 New York Auto Show, spy shots of the new 2016 Malibu are set to debut and the show a significantly sleeker automobile that can be favorably compared to the Audi A7. The new 2016 Mailbu will be 300 lbs lighter than older versions, but will be slightly larger, to battle the past complaints of a lack of legroom that has become a popular issue since 2008.

GM seems to be committed to retaining the dependability of the older Malibu models, but whether that will be enough remains to be seen. GM has not only been testing the hot and cold weather driving trials in North America, they have stepped up their game to perform those same tests in Saudi Arabia and Russia. Just in case you aren't familiar with what the roads are like in the former Soviet Union, the Malibu will be facing tests that are impossible to recreate in a lab.
