Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

MT PLEASANT, Mich., –– Halloween is over and now it's Turkey time! These easy Thanksgiving crafts are just the thing to get everyone excited about Turkey day. For more information on how to complete these crafts, or for even more ideas, check out our Graff Mt. Pleasant Pinterest Page!

Tabletop Turkey

Craft this cute little guy and plop him down on the dinner table to be admired. You'll need a paper cup, brown paint, a brown pom-pom and colored construction paper. Don't forget the googly eyes either! This turkey is a great centerpiece and your kids will be proud to have their handiwork to be displayed.

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Pilgrim Hat Crayon Cups

Another great craft for the kids. This creation will be perfect to keep their crayons and markers organized while they're coloring turkeys and pilgrims all month.

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Melted Crayon Pumpkin

How cool is this!? However, it may get a little messy during the melting process so make sure to lay some newspaper down.

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Autumn Leaves Garland

Decorate your house with this beautiful, festive garland. Purchase some artificial leaves, coat them with glue and autumnal colored glitter. Then, use a hole punch then hang them with some ribbon. Simple and elegant!

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Ombre Pinecone

This might be our favorite craft on the list. These colorful pinecones will help beautify your harvest decorations and are a lot of fun to make. You'll need to gather some pinecones from outside, and get acrylic paint in a few different shades of colors. Also, don't worry if you or your little one get a bit carried away and just paint the entire pinecone a single color. They will still look great!

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Turkey Bowling

Less of a craft and more of a fun game to play with the whole family. Fashion some brown cups to look like little turkeys pins with construction paper and googly eyes. Then, get some small pumpkins that will act as the bowling ball!

2017 Silverado 2500HD Carhartt Concept Vehicle

Mt. Pleasant, Mich., –– Chevrolet is proud to announce their collaboration with another iconic Detroit brand, Carhartt. Over 230 years of combined design experience and Detroit heritage have united to forge the 2017 Silverado 2500HD Carhartt concept vehicle. It's a truck built to endure the toughest exposure and usage while reflecting the versatility and resiliency of the iconic work jackets.

“Thousands of people go to work every day and earn their paycheck in a Chevy truck while wearing a Carhartt,” said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Truck marketing director. “Those products’ durability and versatility earn respect and loyalty that’s passed on — and that’s exactly what this concept explores.”
It's true, a pairing never seemed so natural. Two American brands whose owners usually employ both products to earn a living at unforgiving worksites that test their dedication and preparedness. Hauling lumber, drywall, or gravel on cold November mornings is not for the faint of heart.

That same durability is expressed in the texture of the concept’s Jet Black interior, which features Carhartt’s signature duck brown garment material on the seats, armrests and door panel inserts, with triple-stitched seams just like the jackets. The Carhartt logo is also laser-etched on the headrests, while antique nickel-finish trim is used on the center console, instrument panel, and doors. Carhartt’s tough fabric is also used for a custom concept tonneau cover.

A number of Chevrolet Accessories and concept parts enhance the truck’s appearance and functionality. The Chevrolet Accessories include:
  • All-weather floor liners
  • Trailering mirrors with camera system
  • Assist steps
  • Perimeter bed lighting
  • Black bowtie emblems
  • Bed-mounted toolbox and swing-out tool chest (associated accessories)

The additional concept and custom equipment includes:
  • Electrical outlets in the bed
  • 20-inch LED light bar
  • Carhartt gold pinstripe graphics
  • Antique nickel accents on the grille, mirror caps, tow rings and 20-inch aluminum wheels
2017 Silverado 2500HD Carhartt Concept Vehicle

The Silverado 2500HD Carhartt concept also features a unique, two-tone Carbon Flash exterior finish, with a matte finish above the beltline and high-gloss black on the bottom half.

This collaboration between Chevrolet and Carhartt began with the vision to bring the customer an honest, capable, and long lasting machine that meet the needs of the real world. The 2017 Silverado 2500HD Carhartt concept vehicle is built to accommodate the needs of work and play.  The truck will be previewed for the public at the SEMA Show on November 1st - 3rd in Las Vegas with approximately 20 additional Chevy models including the new Blue Line concept models.

If you're interested in checking out the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado stop by our dealership. We'd be happy to help you find the truck, car, crossover, or SUV you're looking for. We also want to help you be safe on the road. Make sure to complete your Fall Car Care routine at our Graff Chevrolet Mt. Pleasant Service Center.

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

MT PLEASANT, Mich., –– It’s almost Halloween! Did it slip your mind to decorate your desk at work this year? Fear not, it’s never too late to spookify your office, desk, or work space with easy last minute DIY Halloween decorations. Try some of low-maintenance ideas that will impress your co-workers and will surely help you win the office decoration contest!

Balloon and Streamer Spider

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

This one is a classic! You’ll need a black balloon and streamers to pull this creepy crawler off. First, start by taping the black streamers to an elevated surface (the ceiling even works!) Remember to give them a tiny bit of slack to make the legs seem realistic. Then, blow up the balloon and tape it to the middle of the legs. You can even glue some googly eyes on the spider if you want to give him a little more personality!

Jack-O-Lantern Faces

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

Use colored paper, paper plates, streamers and other any other crafts you may need to create a jack-o-lantern, ghost, or monster face on any of the surfaces (doors, walls, cabinets) in your office.

Paper Bats

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations
Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

The same idea as paper snowflakes! Fold black construction paper in half (hamburger style) and trace half of the bat on the paper with the middle of the bat being on the folded edge. Google some cartoon bat images if you need some help in the artist department. Then cut out the bat. The fold even make it seems as though the wings are flapping! Make a number of these and tape them so they appear to be flying up your wall.

Milk Jug Ghosts

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

Wash out a used milk jug for this ghoulish decoration! You can use black construction paper and tape or just a marker to craft the eyes and mouth of your ghost. Then, cut a small hole in the back of the jug, allowing you to place a battery operated teapot candle or run old Christmas lights through it to illuminate your new spectral desk-mate. Also, we recommend making him a couple of friends as well. These guys look spookier in groups!

P.S. You can always substitute paper bags for the milk jugs if you have them more readily available.

Printable Skeletons

Last Minute DIY Office Halloween Decorations

For those of you who really want to go the path of least resistance, we suggest using a printable skeleton template. Print this guy off and cut him out to make a bone-chilling decoration that will have your co-workers marveling at the craftsmanship.  Use anything from split pins to tape to connect the bones.

We hope our last minute DIY office Halloween decorations ideas help. Also, when in doubt, just put out a bowl of candy. That tends to be a crowd pleaser.

Additionally, as autumn marches on we recommend following our Fall Car Care steps at our Graff Chevrolet Mt. Pleasant Service Center to ensure your vehicle runs at peak performance and keeps you safe in the inclement weather to come.
