2018 Chevrolet Equinox to Make Auto Show Debut

MT. PLEASANT, Mich., –– The much anticipated 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will make its public auto show debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The all-new 2018 Equinox aims to be the most complete modern compact SUV with more safety features, dramatic design, and the latest connectivity. Chevrolet has refocused their efforts on optimizing the Equinox after is has quickly become their second-best-selling vehicle after the Silverado with sales reaching nearly 2 million since its launch.

Design

The exterior and design of the 2018 Equinox is athletic and lean, taking design cues from the Volt, Cruze and Mailbu. A sophisticated interior awaits drivers with available denim-style seat fabric that combine style and durability. The 2018 Equinox will also meet everyone's cargo needs with a flat-folding rear seat to give you 63.5 cubic feet (1,798 liters) of space to pack in whatever you plan on taking with you.

The compact SUV is also 400 lbs lighter than the 2017 model, a 10 percent reduction in weight, intended to improve it's handling, balance and efficiency.  Additionally, a switchable AWD system has been included to further enhance efficiency.

Technology

The 2018 Equinox offers Chevrolet’s latest connectivity technologies including MyLink infotainment systems designed to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is also available.

The options include a 1.5L turbo, a 2.0L turbo that is matched with GM’s new nine-speed automatic transmission and a 1.6L turbo-diesel.
