MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – This Saturday, September 26, the Light
the Night Walk will be happening in Midland. Graff Mt. Pleasant will be
participating in the walk and we want you to join us!
Light the Night Walk
is an event where the community comes together to raise money for The Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society. Family, friends, and companies that want to support the cause and fund research for a cure of blood cancer form teams
to walk at the event.
At the end of the night lanterns are lit and set off. The
white lanterns symbolize survivors and research, the red are in support of current
patients and finding a cure, and the yellow are in memory of lost loved ones.
The money raised benefits those suffering of blood
cancer in many ways:
- Funding research for therapies and treatments
- Free patient education materials and support programs
- Advocacy to make sure patients have the right access to treatments
- One-on-one patient assistance from the LLS Information Resource Center
