Meet The 2016 Chevy Camaro

Meet The 2016 Chevy Camaro

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. – Get ready to meet the 2016 Chevy Camaro! This past Saturday, General Motors presented the new 2016 Camaro to the world. The assembled fans, media and auto-world insiders waited impatiently for Chevy to reveal the muscle car that has been the talk of the town since Chevrolet started revealing parts of the new car a few weeks ago. In a muscle car war that brings in the heavy weights like the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, the Camaro rolled into battle with SIX prototypes to the unveiling on Belle Isle.

The new 2016 Camaro is a softer-edged car that looks completely different than the 5th generation Camaro currently sitting at dealerships across the country. The only parts they have truly in common are the Chevrolet bow-tie badge on the trunk and the SS badge on the V8-powered SS models, according to GM.  Coming in at 200 pounds lighter, the new design makes the Camaro look lower and wider even though its actual dimensions are within 2 inches of the current Camaro model. The sixth generation Camaro will be available in both V8 and V6 engines, each more powerful than the current model's V8 and V6, as well as with a turbocharges 4-cylinder engine.

GM's CEO Mary spoke of the new Camaro to Bloomberg Television, stating that; "Every inch of has been improved." When asked if the Camaro will outsell the Mustang, she stated; "I think we will, and that is our goal." The all-new 2016 Camaro will now head on a countrywide promo tour that includes stops at the MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati and the Woodward Dream Cruise where fans of the muscle car can meet the 2016 Chevy Camaro in person, before ending the summer at the Los Angeles Auto Show. After that, the 2016 will pull into dealerships this fall, finally available to the waiting public!

GM Set To Reveal The New Sixth-Generation Camaro This Saturday

GM Set To Reveal The New Sixth-Generation Camaro This Saturday

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. - Much to the enthusiasm of the automotive world, GM is set to reveal the new sixth-generation Camaro this Saturday. The new 2016 Camaro is Chevy's answer to the 50th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang and the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. In a back and forth war that has been going on since the beginning of the year, these three vehicles dominate the muscle car class, as they should.

The 2016 Camaro unveiling was opened up to the first 1000 individuals who registered via the #CAMAROSIX website, and all 1000 spots filled up in a little over 8 hours. Chevy spokesperson Monte Doran said, "We were very surprised. We thought it would take a few days or weeks to fill the available spots, so the response far exceeded our expectations!" Due to Chevy using already existing infrastructure for the Belle Isle Grand Prix, the auto company had to limit the reveal event to 1000 people.

But those lucky 1,000 fans will be in muscle car nirvana. In addition to the main event, those present will also be able to ride along on hot laps of the race course in the 2015 Camaro Z/28 models and take a parade lap in their own Camaros. Chevrolet is, smartly, veering away from the conventional approach to unveiling a new vehicle, which is usually done so at the traditional auto shows. An large treat for Camaro fans attending the event this weekend will also be the Camaro Museum on site, with over 20 cars ranging from the oldest production Camaro in existence, the 1967 Camaro VIN 16, or the original 2006 Camaro concept that preceded the fifth-gen model (the "Bumblebee" Camaro).

GM is set to reveal the new sixth-generation Camaro this Saturday. The 2016 Camaro will roll into dealerships this fall after a cross-country promo tour that will take it to the MLB All-Star Game in Cincinatti to "Camaro Fest" in Kentucky, and even back to Michigan for the Woodward Dream Cruise before making its final curtain call at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We are so excited, and CANNOT WAIT to see this amazing car!

Tips On Traveling With Your Pets

Tips On Traveling With Your Pets

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. – Warmer weather means more time spent in your car, heading on vacation with your family. Sometimes your family includes those of the four-legged variety. Whether it is to the beach, the lake house, the campsite, or just the vet's office, it is always important to make sure that furry-friends are comfortable and stay stress free! Here are some tips on traveling with your pets, to make sure everybody in your family has a safe and enjoyable summer!
  • Pack a frozen bowl of water that your pet can lick to keep cool. This is a great way for them to stay hydrated without you having to worry about water spilling all over the car. No mess = happy dog owner!
  • DO NOT leave your pet alone in the vehicle! Even when the windows are left down on a warm day, the temperature inside of a car can rise within a matter of minutes.
  • Bring along a comfort item for your pet. A familiar item like their favorite blanket, bone, or toy will help them to relax during a long ride.
  • If you're headed out on a long trip, we suggest looking for pet-friendly restaurants, hotels, or dog parks on your route. Just like us, our pets need a break from time to time, so it is important to find locations where you can take them out of the car for a short walk, drink of water, and a snack.
  • Heading out on a long road trip? Exercise your pet beforehand! He or she will be much more inclined to rest during the drive, so get out there and play fetch with Fido for a stress free outing!
  • If you are headed out on a long journey, be sure your pet is up to date on all vaccinations to protect them against any possible threats. Especially if you plan on driving through different climate zones. For example, if you live in the Midwest and you are driving to the South, make sure your dog or cat is up to date on all heart worm and flea/tick medications!
  • Dogs and cats should not roam around the vehicle; use a crate, carrier, or harness that can be anchored to the vehicle. This is the best way to avoid distractions for the driver and to protect your pet in the unfortunate event of a crash.

By following these easy tips, you and your pooch or feline will have a relaxing drive, no matter where you go! Do you have any tips on traveling with your pets that you would like to share? General Motors Has Stepped Up Their Game

General Motors Has Stepped Up Their Game
MT. PLEASANT, Mich. – For many years, no American car company has had a tight grip on the reliable, and hugely popular, family sedan car segment.  Japanese automakers such as Toyota and Honda, offered safe, comfortable cars at low prices, and had reliability records that competitors couldn't match. General Motors however, has brought an impressive, new player to the field.

The Camry and the Accord have some stiff competition, because their competitors' reliability ratings have improved greatly, everyone is raising their games. Believe it or not, General Motors has stepped up their game and now offers the new-for-2016 Chevy Malibu, which ultimately raises the bar for the entire segment, and make America's top selling class of cars even better!

We have blogged about the 2016 Malibu in the past, and the new model is causing quite a lot of excitement ever since it was previewed at this year's New York Auto Show. A few years ago, Ford Motor Company released the newly updated Ford Fusion, which impacted the family sedan class in a large way. Unlike the Camry or the Accord, the Fusion featured a striking, dramatic styling and an updated interior the felt more sophisticated than the Japanese models. This put the Malibu behind, and GM was focused on bringing itself to the top of the family-sedan class.

Since the release of the Ford Fusion, General Motors has stepped up their game, and the release of the 2016 Malibu will forever change the entire auto-industry. The all-new Chevy Malibu will arrive to dealers this fall, and GM hopes that its profits and sales will rise as a result, which will definitely happen. Due to all of this immense competition going on in the popular midsize-segment, the car-shoppers will be the real winners at the end of the day!

If you would like more information on how General Motors is reinventing the midsize car segment, stop by, or give us a call at (989)-773-3937!
