The Malibu Hybrid has a slightly modified drive unit and electric motor used in the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. The modified technology helps Chevrolet use their expertise to bring drivers a world-class hybrid.

Inside the car you’ll find 10 airbags, push-button start, and you can unlock your vehicle with ease using passive entry. Under the hood is an Anew Ecotec 1.8L hybrid optimized direct-injected engine.

There are plenty of safety features that are offered with the Malibu Hybrid which include:

• Lane Keep Assist
• Front Pedestrian Braking
• Low Speed Front Automatic Braking
• Teen Driver

Available in all Malibu models, Teen Driver encourages safe driving habits. The audio will mute in the vehicle if any front-seat passengers are not wearing a seat belt. It is also the very first in-vehicle system that allows parents to view information on how their teen is driving.
