Chevy Colorado And GMC Canyon Get New Turbo-Diesel Engines For 2016

Chevy Colorado And GMC Canyon Get New Turbo-Diesel Engines For 2016

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - After months of teasing it finally looks like General Motors is going to release a light-duty truck with a little bit more power under the engine! GM is ready to join the diesel club of light-duty pickup trucks, and throws its hat into the game with both the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon getting new turbo-diesel engines for 2016. GM joins FCA and Nissan by incorporating a diesel option into the popular light-duty pickup class, and both models look pretty impressive!

The new 181-horsepower diesel engine will help both trucks-models increase towing capability and fuel economy, but will understandably come at a higher price. The diesel engine will cost $3,700 more than the comparable truck with a 3.6-liter V6 engine in the Colorado or Canyon. Due to several new incorporated technologies, the Duramax four-cylinder is the cleanest diesel truck General Motors has ever produced, which is thanks in part to a cooled exhaust-gas reduction system.  This system mixes some exhaust gas back into the air intake and lowers combustion temperatures.

Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon get new turbo-diesel engines for 2016, and the powerful new diesel will showcase 369 pounds-feet of torque, which is good for towing up to 7,700 pounds in the two-wheel version (compared to the current 7,000 pounds in gas trucks). The exciting new diesel-engine Chevy and GMC models will go on sale in the fall, and the Colorado will be available in the FT and Z71 crew cab models with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive options. If you are looking to get into your own Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon, stop by and see us! At your Clare Area Used Truck Dealership we have TONS of Used GM Trucks and Used Chevy Trucks for you to check out. Visit us at your Graff Mt. Pleasant Chevy Dealership located at 4580 E Pickard Rd in Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or our Buick GMC Cadillac Dealership located at 116 N. Mission St in Mount Pleasant, MI 48858.

Buick Is Now Offering A 24-Hour Test Drive

Buick Is Now Offering A 24-Hour Test Drive

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - For the past 18 months Buick has stuck with the "That's not a Buick" campaign, and consumers are seeming to respond well to it. Buick is taking that a step further, and is now offering a promotion that will make a refreshing offer to potential buyers - Buick is now offering a 24-hour test drive titled "24 Hours of Happiness Test Drive Event".

Buick feels like no-one should make the decision on purchasing a $40,000 vehicle after a 10-minute test drive, so they upped the ante! Now, potential buyers can see how the car will fit into their life and their family's lives by taking the car out for a 24-hour test drive. Do the kids like it? Does it fit in the garage? What do the neighbors think? These are all questions that can be easily answered by taking your potential new Buick home with you for a day.

Buick has been going through a mini-rebranding of sorts, no longer is the Buick just the car your grandfather had. Duncan Aldred, U.S VP for Buick explained that the 24-hour test drive is one major way Buick can change people's perceptions of the brand! General Motors has done things like this in the past, and the test was "a fairly obvious answer to the problem Buick had", explains Aldred. He wanted to make sure the test-drive event was in line with Buick's new DNA  quiet, peaceful, refined.

The fact that Buick is now offering a 24-hour test drive shows how committed the brand is to changing the consumer reception about the automaker. It is exciting to watch as Buick redesigns itself into the brand that we know everyone will love! If you are interested in ANY of our New Buick Cars or Used Buick Cars, stop by your local St. Louis, Michigan Used Car Dealer for your own 24-hour test drive today!

The 2016 Camaro Will Be Available To Order Starting August 13th

The 2016 Camaro Will Be Available To Order Starting August 13th

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. - It's safe to say the automotive world has been patiently waiting for the sixth-gen Camaro to become available to the public. When the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Ford Mustang were introduced for the 2015 model year, both cars were made available in the spring of 2014. The Camaro is fashionably late to the game but it looks like there is finally an order date that has been made public. The 2016 Camaro will be available to order starting August 13th, according to a leaked document obtained by CamaroNews.

This could mean that possibly, in 24 days, you can head down to Graff Mt. Pleasant and put cash down on the next generation, 2016 Camaro. Unfortunately this is just speculation based on a leaked document, however, it is the best lead on the availability date for the new Camaro since its release in May. In the past, the Coupe models have been made available going into the winter before the convertibles are made available, and there is no doubt that Chevy will follow that same model. The Coupe will also come with two trim level options LT and SS.

If the document is indeed legitimate, the 2016 Camaro will be available to order starting August 13th. This would also be the date that the first Camaros will start being built at the assembly plant in Lansing, per an announcement from Chevy back in June. If production and orders do start on August 13th, the new muscle cars should roll into dealerships in October or November.

You can bet that the second we get more news about the sixth-gen 2016 Camaro, we will share it with you ASAP! The Camaro is a vehicle steeped in American automotive lore, and this new model is sure to have all the bells and whistles that pony car enthusiasts love! At your local Alma Area Used Car Dealer, we have tons of beautiful new and used vehicles on site that are ALWAYS available to be taken out for a test-drive! Visit us at your Graff Mt. Drowsy Driving Is Just As Bad As Drunk Driving

Why Drowsy Driving Is Just As Bad For Young Adults As Drunk Driving

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - A drowsy driver is a dangerous driver. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), drowsiness or fatigue is the main cause of up to 100,000 police-reported passenger vehicle incidents a year, killing at least 1,500 and injuring 71,000. Even more fatigue-related incidents go unreported making drowsy driving just as bad as drunk driving.

Contrary to popular belief, it is not truck drivers causing there accidents. Only 1% of all the reported drowsy driving incidents are cause by semi-truck drivers due to a recent federal law that states truck drivers can only driver for 10 hours at a time in a 24 hour period. Surprisingly, in many aspects drowsy driving is much like drunk driving. When it comes to driving under the influence of alcohol, once someone has a blood alcohol level of .08% he or she is legally drunk. Recent studies have shown that a driver who has gone a day without sleep shows the same factors as a driver registering .10% blood alcohol level which is well above the legal limit.

Drowsy driving is just as bad as drunk driving, and both show very similiar signs when out on the road. Both occurrences show drivers with slower reaction times, decreased awareness, impaired judgement and increased aggressiveness. In a recent study, nine out of ten North American police officers interviewed had pulled over a drowsy driver who they thought was actually a drunk driver.

Drowsy driving is just as bad as drunk driving and parents and guardians should talk about it with their kids JUST as much. If you would like to stop by and go over the several safety features that assist GM drivers, feel free to stop by! We would love to show you the great technological safety systems in our vehicles! At your local St. Louis, Michigan Area Chevy Dealer we are always checking out the new technologies that Chevy is coming up with! Visit us at your St. Louis Area Chevrolet Dealership located at 4580 E Pickard Rd in Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or our Buick GMC Cadillac Dealership located at 116 N. Chevrolet Has Engineered The Active Phone Cooling Feature

Chevrolet Has Engineered The Active Phone Cooling Feature

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. – Isn't it frustrating when you're driving and your phone overheats from streaming music and using your GPS at the same time? Most smartphones have a built in cooling feature that helps prevent this, however, that means that sometimes your phone will just shut off completely. To fight this, Chevrolet has engineered the Active Phone Cooling feature, which is an industry-first feature that cools your phone and keeps it from overheating!

So, how does this work? It is actually quite easy to understand: An air vent connected directly to the car's A/C and ventilation system is directed to the charging bin where the phone rests for wireless charging. This bin sits in the center, under the entertainment system of the vehicle. The system sends cooler air to help lower the smartphone's temperature and can only be turned on manually by the driver.

Several factors can cause or worsen overheating in smartphones like heavy strain on the device's data and graphic processors, high ambient temperatures or simply charging the device. That's why Chevrolet has engineered the Active Phone Cooling feature, which will be available on certain models of the 2016 lineup that include the new Impala, Malibu, Volt and Cruze models that are equipped with wireless charging and Chevrolet MyLink.

We cannot wait to see this new feature on the 2016 Chevy line up later this year! If you would like to check out our new or used vehicle inventory you could always stop by! Need to schedule a service appointment? You could schedule an appointment on our website! At your local St. Louis, Michigan Area Chevy Dealer we are always checking out the new technologies that Chevy is coming up with! Build Your Own Cadillac CTS-V Sedan And Make All Your Friends Jealous

Cadillac Is Now Taking Orders For The 640 HP Cadillac CTS-V

MT.PLEASANT, Mich. - Have you ever wanted to drive a luxury automobile that can reach speeds of 200 mph and has over 600 lb-ft torque? Well, you're in luck because Cadillac's CTS-V configurator site has just gone live and you can build your own Cadillac CTS-V Sedan and make all your friends jealous! Now you can finally build the luxury sedan of your dreams! The vehicle will not launch till later this summer, however, Cadillac is currently taking orders– and let us tell you, this car looks pretty sick!

The new 2016 V-Series model represents a large and significant expansion of the brand's elite, high-performance line, which is also a more luxurious turn from the brand's base models. With a top speed of 201 mph and a 0-60 performance in 3.7 seconds, the all-new CTS-V is the MOST powerful car in Cadillac's long, 112-year history, and elevates itself into the elite group of the world's highest performing sedans.

The CTS-V is also implemented with third-generation Magnetic Ride Control, which is the world's fastest reacting suspension technology and is just one of the many enhancements and features that come standard on the new 2016 CTS-V.

Of course you have to have a powerful engine to generate that speed and power, and the 2016 Cadillac sedan is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 and an eight-speed automatic transmission that offers full manual control via steering wheel paddles. The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V has more horsepower and torque than the Mercedes-Benz 5.5-liter biturbo V-8 and the BMW M-Series 4.4-liter TwinPower V-8. Pretty impressive huh?

At your Cadillac Graff Mt. Pleasant Dealership, we think you should definitely build your own Cadillac CTS-V Sedan and make all your friends jealous! You can do it here at the dealership, or from the comfort of your own home! Visit us at your St. Louis Area Chevy Dealership located at 4580 E Pickard Rd in Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or our Buick GMC Cadillac Dealership located at 116 N. Mission St in Mount Pleasant, MI 48858.

Chevy Adds Theft Alarm Notifications To Its Vehicle Assistance Service

Chevy Adds Theft Alarm Notifications To Its Vehicle Assistance Service

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - This week, General Motors announced that Chevy is adding Theft Alarm Notifications to its Vehicle Assistance Service. The exciting new service option allows those who subscribe to OnStar to receive real-time alerts when the vehicle's alarm sounds. These alerts can be received via SMS text, email or by phone and will be available to eligible subscribers this summer.

This innovative feature is just one of the many OnStar is upgrading this year, which include Remote Ignition Block and Stolen Vehicle Slowdown. With such prompt responses and quick awareness of theft situations, customers have a greater chance to recover stolen vehicles and property. If a vehicle is stolen that is equipped with this feature (and other OnStar features), OnStar advisors will work with local law enforcement and use the GPS technology to locate the vehicle and pinpoint its location.

The Theft Alarm notifications will be sent to your chosen device by using glass breakage sensors, interior motion sensors and an inclination/tilt sensor which sounds the alarm if it detects the vehicle is being lifted off the ground, a break-in is detected or if motion is detected within the vehicle then the alarm is armed.

Chevy is adding Theft Alarm Notifications to its Vehicle Assistance Service, which most 2014 model year and newer Chevrolet models are equipped to offer. To learn more about OnStar and the various services it offers, click here. If you would like to test drive any Chevy models that offer this amazing OnStar feature, feel free to stop in for a test drive! Visit us at your St. Louis Area Chevrolet Dealership located at 4580 E Pickard Rd in Mount Pleasant, Michigan 48858 or our Buick GMC Cadillac Dealership located at 116 N.
